There are more talented designers and high quality crafted shoes than ever before. Retailers are stocking as much as the can; exclusive designs, premiere collections, pre-orders….and as much as I love how accessible fashion has become, it’s also seems quite cluttered.
Since we started this blog (6 years ago!) we continue to enjoy curating and searching through the masses to bring you the best, the standouts.
Here we have it, our must-have shoes right now (good to bookmark too for the fast-approaching end-of-season sales!):
Jimmy ChooTrick strappy buckle sandals; available at FarFetch.
Gucci Mary Jane black patent leather and snakeskin bow embellished pumps; available at Net-A-Porter.
Gianvito RossiRegalia embroidered red satin strappy sandals; available at Net-A-Porter.
Aquazzura black suede Wild Thing fringed lace-up pumps; available at Net-A-Porter.
Gianvito Rossi red silk fringed satin ankle cuff sandals; available at Net-A-Porter.
Valentino ballerina-inspired nude leather booties; available at MyTheresa.
Alaia black suede lace-up eyelet-embellished ankle booties; available at Net-A-Porter.
Arriving in soft stretch velvet these boots are a statement way to work the season’s key over-the-knee silhouette. Designed to hug the curves of the leg, and shaped with an almond toe and a walkable 105mm block heel. Create the perfect runway look by layering these boots beneath mid-length skirts or dresses, button-down blouses and sharp edge blazers.
These Nasiba sandals are sophisticated and chic, a perfect accessory for date night! Crafted from cashmere suede, these sandals have knotted straps with layered side panels. Nasiba also has a exposed back zip and covered 100mm stiletto heel. We’re thinking a scarlet red or a classic LBD will compliment these heels.
In addition to the blooming flowers, welcoming sunshine and green grass, strappy open-toe sandals are another sign that spring has sprung. Before you know it, it will be time to pack the boots away, treat yourself to a pedi (we suggest trying Dior’s new lilac polish) and slip into some strappy sandals – strappier the better.
Here’s a look at our favorite new arrivals for Spring 2016:
Tulum lace-up sandals embellished with fringe and gold-tone dome studs; available at Barneys.
Chelsea ParisSultan lace-up sandals; in aqua at Grazia Shop or brown at Otte.
Even more obvious than the painted cork trend, denim footwear is impossible to overlook this spring. From shoe maestro Blahnik to pacesetter , the industry brings us a playful spin on the classic jean twill.
From pumps to sandals, platforms to stilettos – each designer created a unique styles inspired by the blue Americana staple. Not only is denim is a reliable fabric perfect for everyday wear but it’s also an interestingly stylish shoe textile.
I particularly love Gianvito Rossi’s take, adding several denim designs to his spring collection which features a dark wash exaggerated with frayed patches. Both Fendi and Christian Louboutin combined a lighter shade with tropical floral printed leather. Jimmy Choo carries the most amount of denim styles this season adding a sleek contrasting black leather trim to several styles.
Manolo Blahnik leopard printed BB pointed-toe pump; on sale at Neiman Marcus
Christian LouboutinSenora t-strap sandal in light denim with Hawaiian-inspired printed heel; available at Neiman Marcus
After last year’s successful collaboration with fashion darling Olivia Palermo, this season ‘s Edgardo Osorio teamed up with another style maven. We love this celestial-inspired x Poppy Delevingne capsule collection featuring dreamy Moroccan motifs.
The Hero open-toe sandals are one of our favorite styles designed in black suede with a strappy crossover front, long wraparound braided leather laces, suede tassels and turquoise gemstone details. Half sizes are available. You can also shop them in a beautiful cognac suede at Matches.
