Last week when I stopped in at the InSole store at the Wynn, Las Vegas I asked the sales associate Tony if they go through inventory quickly. He said most visitors don’t even make it down to their store (it’s a tad hidden). Tony also mentioned that if people are willing to spend $500+ for new shoes they usually go for the red soles = Christian Louboutin. I love Christian Louboutin. He is genius and his work is brilliant. However if you’re only looking for the red soles, you’re missing out other amazing designers! Here’s a quick list of designers to check out:
He’s the creative director for Roger Vivier and his spring collection is filled with an array of textures including leather, suede, silk, elastic, patent leather and more. See his spring collection here.
Ruthie isn’t exactly new to the shoe world, her brand has been around since 2006. However, the candy colors, encrusted heels are always refreshing and cheerful. See her spring collection.
Camilla also launched her shoe collection in 2006 and is in charge of shoe design for Matthew Williamson. Her signature “saw” soles and bold designs have gained extreme popularity last year.
Charlotte is a relatively new designer based in London. Her designs have also been catching a ton of popularity this year from celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss. We’re told Charlotte’s new website will be up soon. Until then you can find her designs on LUISAVIAROMA & Net-A-Porter.
Paris based Raphael Young was taught how to design shoes by his uncle Alexandre Narcy who designed for Yves Saint Laurent. His shoes are described as “hard rock couture, sexy, edgy, strong shoes with an attitude”. View his spring collection here.
Elizabeth Olsen has been the Creative Director at Tommy Hilfiger and designed for Calvin Klein, Bulga, Nine West, Jodi Arnold MINT, and many others. Olsenhaus uses alternative, sustainable and renewable plant-based and man-made, non-animal material. They are 100% vegan: no leather, fur, wool or silk is ever used.
