Shoes She Should Have Worn: January Jones

January Jones wore a beautiful blue Atelier Versace gown to the 2010 Emmy Awards. Her hair and shoes ruined this look for me. She received a lot of negative feedback and many said that she simply didn’t pull this look off or give the dress any justice. I think January’s shoes were way too chunky for this gown.

What She Wore: January wore the black Miu Miu platform pumps.
*Thanks so much to reader Natalie for helping me out! Everyone on Emmy night thought she was in Brian Atwood but they’re are infact Miu Miu.

Shoes She Should Have Worn: Almost any sandal by Rene Caovilla would have worked so much better. She needed a “barely there” sandal & something elegant to compliment the gown. I picked out my favorite three, what do you think? Do you like my new shoe choices for January? Have a different heel you think would look better? Leave a comment!

The top & bottom sandal are both from his spring 2010 collection. The middle sandal is availbale online at Bluefly.

I couldn’t agree more that her shoe selection was such a let down. What a fabulous dress, then you see the shoe :( I would have loved to see her in silver Louboutin Pigalilis. That would have been amazing! Love this site!
