There are more talented designers and high quality crafted shoes than ever before. Retailers are stocking as much as the can; exclusive designs, premiere collections, pre-orders….and as much as I love how accessible fashion has become, it’s also seems quite cluttered.
Since we started this blog (6 years ago!) we continue to enjoy curating and searching through the masses to bring you the best, the standouts.

Fresh on the heels of the 10 year anniversary of the iconic Pigalle stiletto pump, Christian Louboutin’s new collection is a veritable bevy of sporty influence, rock and roll chic, and vibrant femininity that proves, yet again, why Louboutins are still the Go-To brand for every fashion forward fashionista.
The thing we love about Christian Louboutin’s Spring/Summer collections (other than everything) is that they are always unafraid of making a bold, colorful statement. From patent leather to PVC, from gotta-look-twice embellished wedges to the iconic So Kate in metallic python leather, the SS15 collection is all about putting your best foot forward and strutting with confidence. Though it’s difficult to narrow our favorite designs, we can’t stop looking at the incredibly vibrant fringe of the Otrot stiletto and the phenomenal new interpretation of the Mea Culpa that is done in a warm gold and polished off with an elongated and elegant curved collar vamp.
The Mea Culpa isn’t the only style that has had a bit of an update and we can’t take our eyes off of the unique revamp of Louboutin’s sexy signature stiletto, a curved vamp design that continues down to a serpentine heel. That striking wavy design appears in multiple iterations, such as the Dalida, theDeepik, and the Vagachina, but our favorite has to be the Dalidad’orsay design done in patent opaline leather — the curved heel and stitched motif makes it a must-have for the upcoming sunny months.
As if that wasn’t enough (we’re trying to contain our gushing), Louboutin’s 130mm is back and sexier than ever, replete with t-straps, colorful patterns, and peep-toes. We can already picture the sky-high platform pumps on the heels of Dita Von Teese and other style-icon daredevils!
Blake Lively wore GucciNaomi sandals to the 2014 Angel Ball hosted by Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation in NYC. These heels are from the Fall 2012 collection featuring grey suede, two rhinestone-covered straps and back-zip closure. You can shop new Fall 2014 styles at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Net-A-Porter.
Outfit Details: Gucci Cruise 2015 pale yellow evening gown with a plunging sequin trimmed neckline, a berry glossy lip and statement diamond ring and drop earrings.
Alessandra Ambrosio wore Jimmy ChooNewJane platform sandals to amfAR’s 2014 Cinema Against AIDS Gala held at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the French Riviera. They’re from the 2014 Award Season collection featuring beige suede, crystal covered front strap, slim platform and thin wrap around ankle-strap. You can shop the latest Pre-Fall 2014 collection at Jimmy Choo and Jimmy Choo UK.
The Brazilian supermodel arrived wearing a white silk chiffon gown by Roberto Cavalli with a deep plunging neckline, long silk plissé skirt with a thigh-high slit, opalescent beaded trim and cutout back. You can find a similar style by Cavalli at FarFetch.

After an uninspiring red carpet look at the recent AMA’s, thankfully she dressed her best for the royal occasion. At 5′ 10″ statuesque Taylor can pull off a long sweeping gown with style and grace. She chose an angelic cap sleeve embroidered dress by Reem Acra with a silk chiffon side cascade skirt and sheer illusion yoke from the Spring 2014 collection.
A Jenny Packham glitter fabric Mini Casa clutch, cherry lip and diamond jewelry by Neil Lane provided the finishing touches.
Anne Hathaway wore Valentino crystal-embellished peep-toe platform pumps to the 2013 Met Gala. These shoes feature Swarovski crystal-encrusted black satin, mesh inserts and covered platform. They’re available online in black at Saks Fifth Avenue or vintage rose (pictured above) at Neiman Marcus & Bergdorf Goodman. She also wore the same shoes to the after party as well.
On the red carpet live stream interview Anne said she joked with Valentino saying, “Have you ever done punk, darling?”. They ended up pulling a Valentino Haute Couture gown from 1992. I love her blonde ‘do, feather cuffs, neon leopard-print nail art and Valentino Fall 2012 studded clutch.
She also wore a darling Temperley LondonTile Crew Neck textured jacquard dress in pale blue cornflower which was inspired by decorative Moroccan interiors. Her shoe choice, wavy hair & light makeup = perfection – don’t you think it’s a much better look than her last red carpet event?
Blake Lively wore Bottega Veneta pointed-toe pumps to ‘The Croods’ NYC premiere. These shoes feature a white wool upper and crystal covered sculpted heel. They’re available online (on sale!) at Bluefly.
She walked the red carpet in support of her husband Ryan and friend Emma Stone. Blake also wore a Marios Schwab maroon mini dress with a PVC panel, small gold-tone studs and white underlay. Her hair was pulled back in a slightly curled, no-fuss low ponytail. Other accessories includedRuby Long Bar stud earrings and gold V ring by Jennifer Meyer.
Kate Hudson wore Christian LouboutinLady Peep platform pumps to the 2013 ELLE Style Awards held in London. These heels are from the Spring 2012 collection and covered in multi-sized crystals. Unfortunately this style is no longer available online however you can find a crystal-embellished Lady Peep in white, gold & blue at Christian Louboutin US.
