New York Fashion Week Shoes Fall/Winter 2013-2014

Now that the major bulk of red carpet events are almost over I put together a quick post on some of the memorable shoes we saw on the runways last week.

Once again Manolo Blahnik had the most collaborative collections, I count 9 total. Other highlights include Christian Louboutin for Marchesa, Gianvito Rossi for Altuzzura, Casadei for Prabal Gurung and Jean-Michel Cazabat for Lela Rose.

Collections that stood out: I’m quite impressed with Monique Llhuilier’s new shoe line. I also liked Casadei for Prabal Gurung, Manolo Blahnik for Victoria Beckham and Manolo Blahnik for Carolina Herrera.

Ashley Benson in Diane von Fürstenberg

Ashley Benson wore Diane von Fürstenberg Lis booties to ABC Family’s 2012 Winter Wonderland event in NYC. These heels are from the Fall 2012 collection featuring black suede and gold detail on the heel. Lis is available online (on sale!) in black suede & burgundy at Zappos, burgundy at Matches and in black suede at Diane von Fürstenberg.

She stayed warm on the Rockefeller Center ice rink wearing a DKNY double knit weave runway coat with a shearling collar and shiny shearling sleeves. Later, the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ star removed the coat to walk the red carpet wearing a sheer black top with a leather collar.

Spring 2013 Shoe Picks

I closely watched the runways this September and reported on the shoes seen at the major fashion shows in New York, London, Milan & Paris. I love Style.com’s accessories index and they just recently published the spring bags, shoes & jewelry.

Each season I enjoy picking out my favorite designs and comparing it with the editor’s selections. There are usually 1 or 2 matches (see last season) however this season our choices were widely different.

These heels are from the Fall 2012 collection featuring black suede, round toe and gold detail on the heel. Lis is available online in black suede & burgundy calf hair at Zappos, burgundy at Matches and in black suede at Diane von Furstenberg.

She’s also wearing a Carven brown mid-length fur coat paired with Zadig & Voltaire silver sequin covered shorts.

Olivia Palermo wore Diane von Furstenberg Lucette heels to the New York City Ballet 2012 Fall Gala. These shoes are from the Fall 2012 collection featuring a gold-tone metal heel and small oval shaped peep-toe. Lucette is available online in black suede at Zappos and in teal & black suede at Matches.

She’s also wearing a beautiful Christian Dior one-shoulder pleated chiffon layered dress. Olivia added a large statement necklace, leopard belt and black patent leather belt plus a large crystal-embellished bracelet. Olivia really over-accessorized.
