Zoe Saldana wore Jimmy Choo Desire sandals to the 2013 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. They’re from the Fall 2013 collection featuring black patent leather, gold-tone handcuff detailed ankle strap and back-zip. You can find a similar style at MyTheresa and shop new Cruise ’14 arrivals at Jimmy Choo.

She was another best dressed wearing a Roland Mouret black, white & eau de nil Larch one shoulder gown with fine lace, exposed side zip and lacquered satin panels from the Spring 2014 collection.

Zoe finished her look with a Loree Rodkin shagreen oversized cross cuff, diamond encrusted tusk earring and taupe smokey eye makeup.

Los Angeles based brand and shoe designer Jerome C. Rousseau has had an eclectic fashion history. Born in Quebec, the Canadian-bred boy took an interest in art at an early age, though he specifically cites Deee-Lite’s Groove is in the Heart (and their subsequently funky, colorful, and gaudily vintage-inspired shoes) as his main source of sole-spiration. Over the next ten years, he worked alongside and learned from London design greats, such as John Richmond, Matthew Williamson, and John Rocha. It wasn’t until 2008 that he launched his eponymous label in L.A. and it has been met with well-deserved fanfare.

Need proof? He was awarded the respected “Who Is On Next” accessories prize by Vogue Italia, collaborated with Disney to create a Tron inspired shoe, and is a Jerome-C-Rousseau-Logo-2013Hollywood footwear favorite. Though his brand was catapulted into the spotlight after being spottedon Kristen Stewart during The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 press tour, Jerome C. Rousseau’s shoes have also been spotted on sartorial starlets Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Richie, Katie Holmes, Olivia Wilde, Jessica Alba, and Charlize Theron. With a muse and friend as beautiful as French actress Roxane Mesquida – he told Bloginity “You can just scoop her with a spoon, she’s just SO lovely, you know, like the most amazing dessert.” – it’s no shocker that the inspiration continues to flow.

Five years and eleven seasons later, Rousseau’s Fall 2013 line incorporates the whimsy he’s known for with the architecture he loves. His obsession with modern art, structure, and pop culture – some of these pumps have glitter that would make Mariah Carey compose an Ode to Joy – culminate in a gorgeous holiday collection that is sure to turn heads. This season is all about floral printed velvet, micro-studded suede, pointed-toe booties with elaborate bondage-style straps, and thorny stiletto heels. However, his architecturally driven style isn’t forgotten. Origami-style pleating and elegant looping ensure that his unique blend of industrialism and whimsy aren’t lost.

Carried at both large retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue and Shopbop, as well as select boutiques such as Avenue32, Jerome C. Rousseau’s collection is perfect for the woman who loves to blend edge and sophistication. Purchase a pair and be ready to feel a rush of confidence.

Bionda-Castana-logoFounded by two half-Italian Londoners – Natalia Barbieri and Jennifer Portman – Bionda Castana collections are built upon the fashion principals of class, sophistication, and impeccable craftsmanship. Season after season, their sleek designs are inspired by pinnacles of feminine strength. Whether it’s strong, vibrant, and textural pop art styles, or slinky, seductive, and strappy soles fit for femme fatales, their shoes are perfect for a woman that has excellent taste and a heavy hand of self-confidence. When the quirk of London melds with the panache of Italy, the result is a pair of shoes that women feel proud to slip into. With this in mind, it isn’t surprising that their fall 2013 collection is nothing short of enviable.

“Our autumn/winter 2013 collection took regal inspiration – from the fabrics, to the colours, to the detailing. The couture detailing is further elevated from last season, showcasing the talents of the Italian artisans that produce our collections each season,” Natalia said about the duo’s latest collection to Fashion Gone Rogue.

One look at the designs truly cements the opulent feel, as the pumps, boots, and smoking flats are crafted with ingenious combinations and vision. Lace-overlain leather, sumptuous velvets, and mesh incorporated into geometry soar to new heights with platforms, studs, and ornate fan-inspired shaping. It all harkens back to the Renaissance in its attention to detail and old-fashioned feel, but with a modern twist that makes every design distinctly eye-catching. We love how unafraid they are of integrating old themes – such as brocade fabric and courting shoes – into new age tastes without the end result feeling like the footwear found at a costume party.

They’re a brand that effortlessly exudes class and elegance. Lately, their styles have been seen on the feet of style stars like Eva Mendes, Elizabeth Olsen, Miranda Kerr, and Gemma Arterton. By attracting actresses and fashion icons that radiate an Old Hollywood va-va-voom appeal, they have found their niche in the market that we didn’t even know needed to be filled until they stepped up and showed us that “classic beauty” is not synonymous with “boring.”

These shoes practically beg to be worn this winter season, because these shoes are holiday spirit and warmth incarnate. Order a pair now and feel Christmas come a bit early this year.

One of the hottest brands to be on the lookout for is ready to knock your socks off and replace them with a killer pair of pumps, just in time for the winter season! We’re talking, of course, about Oscar Tiye, an Italy-based shoe brand founded by Amina Muaddi and Irina Curutz. The brand, though still in its infancy, does nothing but stun.

In September, they presented their latest collection during Vogue Italia’s “Vogue Talents” exhibit, where their collection garnered the attention of the industry’s finest, including Ms. Wintour. Here’s a peek at the Pre-Spring & Spring ‘14 designs, but before we move on to warmer footwear, let’s turn our gaze to their beautiful, first fall collection.

“Italy” and “shoes” is a match made in footwear utopia, but it only gets better when you inject the designs with youthful innovation, vibrant prints, laser-cut shapes and even using inspiration from the Scarab beetle to create their signature ‘Malikah’ sandal. Amina has said that her shoes are for the “feminine, chic, refined, cool, and fun” – five enviable traits for even the most seasoned fashionistas and word of this brand has been spreading like wildfire.

Oscar-Tiye-Nilaf-Fall-2013After all, it takes a lot to sway the hearts of trendy stars and Oscar Tiye already has ties to Julianne Hough, Zoe Saldana, Hailee Steinfeld and Crystal Reed. Given Amina Muaddi’s stylist background, her impeccable sense of style and ability to attract some of the most talented women in Hollywood isn’t surprising.

While this brand is just breaking into top-of-the-line showrooms, their success is soon-to-be-common-knowledge. We can’t wait for this brand to be carried at our favorite retailers! Take a cue from us: get in on this brand now, so when they completely explode in popularity, you will have been ahead of the curve. All of your friends will be arching their eyebrows in envy at your impeccable taste in soles, and you? You will just smile, delicately twist your ankle to show off their Scarab emblem on the sole and mutter “oh, these old things? I’ve been a fan of Oscar Tiye for ages.”

Sophia-WebsterEven though Sophia’s technically still a burgeoning designer (this is only her label’s second season), she’s made her mark and has shown to be much more than Nicholas Kirkwoods former protégé. Using life-size papier-mâché flamingos cast in vibrant colors Sophia-Webster-Unicorn-clutchand Pantone color charts to surround herself with a permanent sense of whimsy within her London apartment, the environment is perfect for creating crazy Technicolor designs. Sophia has a way of imbuing all of her shoes with a sense of peculiarity and quirk while maintaining a commercially successful edge – though, at first, they might seem a bit over-the-top, it’s an over-the-top that everyone wants.

Luckily for us, her Fall 2013 collection sums up our adoration for Sophia Webster perfectly. The twenty-eight year old had this to say about her British Fashion Council-sponsored collection: “Fall 2013 is a bit of Jackson Pollock meets Marie Antoinette, but I was also inspired by films like Edward Scissorhands and Clueless.

Another glance at her imaginative designs would also show inspiration stemming from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, as well as The Wizard of Oz. Narnia-inspired hearts mix with Cher Horowitz-inspired plaids; sparkle-infused heels go head-to-head with iridescent, unicorn-horn leather finishes; multicolored baubles topping platforms and acting as the heels of chicly scalloped booties; tortoise-shell leather blends seamlessly with dramatically folded fringes ranging from midnight black to fuchsia; it’s a veritable cornucopia of ideas and inspiration, leaving every pair to trail a path through their own story. With the average heel size of the collection standing at 100mm, they’re made for long days and maximum impact.

However, if her quirky booties are a little too extreme for you, there is a wide range of d’Orsay pumps and kooky takes on traditional heels that would make Barbie jealous in a millisecond. Believe us, her sun-kissed skin would turn green with envy with just one glimpse of them on your feet. Why? They’re holographic and embroidered with ornate scalloped edging; they’re metallic and heart-printed with a sweetheart neckline for extra, saucy toe-cleavage; they’re polka dotted with a glitter-infused heels; they are all practical without losing their sense of eccentricity. Try wearing them into a boardroom meeting and not be met with a barrage of compliments (hint: it’s impossible).

Joan Smalls was spotted wearing Giuseppe Zanotti sandals to the 30th Annual Night of Stars event presented by The Fashion Group International. These heels are from the Fall 2013 collection featuring black suede completely embellished with animal-effect Swarovski crystals. They’re available with crystal embellishment at Farfetch, mirrored silver & black suede at Neiman Marcus and several styles at Giuseppe Zanotti.

Everything else was Alexander Wang including a Fall 2013 tuxedo halterneck jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, drop waist and angled slash pockets. Joan stayed warm with a mohair hooded shrug with a shawl collar and carried a croc-embossed patent leather pouchette.

Kate Moss attended the Stuart Weitzman Flagship Store Opening in Milan wearing Sinful t-strap sandals. They’re from the Fall 2013 collection featuring black patent leather, thin straps and round toe. You can shop new fall designs at Stuart Weitzman.

She’s the face of the fall campaign and also the star of the ‘Made for Walking’ short which debuted last night at the VIP opening. Kate also wore her favorite Saint Laurent two button tuxedo blazer, black trousers and sheer blouse.

Marion Cotillard wore Christian Dior pumps to the premiere of ‘Blood Ties’ at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. These heels are from the Winter 2013 collection featuring black glazed leather, 100mm heel and pale pink leather overlay at the toe & heel.

She posed wearing a navy floral lace Dior sheer dress with a short front and long train. The dress is beautiful but I have several problems with the mishmash styling. I would have preferred Marion’s midriff covered, a more feminine updo (the super sleek look is too harsh), and she absolutely needed to remove the green stingray cuff.

Miley Cyrus wore Giuseppe Zanotti platform sandals to the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. They’re from the Fall 2013 collection featuring black calf hair, chunky platform, thin halter strap and patent leather trim. You can find a similar style at Giuseppe Zanotti.

You never know what to expect from Miley who’s been on a crazy (amazing) style evolution all summer. For this red carpet she pulled out a vintage Dolce & Gabbana (from a 1992 collection) off-the-shoulder top and high-waisted leggings embellished with several rows of multicolored faceted crystals. Her hair was pulled up in mini top knots and she also added a striking red pout. Other accessories included Lorraine Schwartz diamond jewelry.

Zhang Ziyi wore Casadei platform pumps to ‘The Grandmaster’ LA premiere held at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood. They’re from the Fall 2013 collection featuring black suede, contrasting metallic gold piped leather trim and narrow toe. You can find a similar style available at Yoox.

I think Zhang was having an “off” day. She chose a new Chanel Fall 2013 pearl belted dress but again, the accessories didn’t really add to the look. We’ve seen her at her best so it’s hard not to expect something spectacular from the Chinese actress. She finished her look with a deep pink lip and curly side-swept updo.
