The largest, jam-packed fashion week of them all – Paris!
Here are my thoughts, presented as mini awards:
*I love the design but they might kill my feet…………Balenciaga
I love the look of these sleek pointed-toe d’Orsay pumps but the strap between the toes is so skinny and looks rather uncomfortable.
*The shoe lover’s dream collection…………from head-to-toe infact, Oh, Dior!
What a beautiful collection featuring Andy Warhol’s shoe sketches on dresses, clutches and bags:
Remember these pathetic Warhol shoe cookies I made 3 years ago? I revisited the post and found this truism, “Fantasy and clothes go together a lot.”
*Unexpected & interesting…………Givenchy
These eye-catching striped boots combined multiple types of snakeskin (I count 3). They reach the mid-calf with a bulbous toe and short curved heel.
*I’ll pass on…………the tractor soles at Stella McCartney
McCartney’s fall shoe collection is completely two-faced! A majority of the runway looks were worn with loafers & boots accented propped up on giant tractor soles. Towards the end of the show however, (thankfully) several feminine sculpted wooden wedges made their debut.
*I surprisingly liked & they’re wearable…………Louis Vuitton
These ankle-strap platform sandals are wearable and cute. Most styles featured antique-looking smooth leather and there were also two designs covered with feathers.
Although I can’t find any detailed photos, the Christian Louboutin for Alessandra Rich pumps are adorable.
