Kylie Minogue wore Dolce & Gabbana t-strap sandals to their Fifth Avenue Flagship Store Opening in NYC. These heels are from the Spring 2013 collection featuring red raffia and red leather sole. This style is not yet available online.
The Australian pop star showed support for one of her favorite brands with whom she’s been very loyal to and has collaborated with several times. She chose a Sicilian-inspired Spring 2013 white & green striped raffia dress paired with runway raffia fringe earrings.
Gisele Bündchen wore Dolce & Gabbana ankle-strap sandals to their Fifth Avenue Flagship Store Opening in NYC. These heels feature black iguana-printed leather, thin straps and gold leather trim. They’re available online in light brown (pictured above) at FarFetch & Net-A-Porter or black at Dolce & Gabbana.
London based shoe designer, Liam Fahy has designed a vibrant Spring 2013 collection titled ‘Congo’. He’s been on my radar for awhile and I’ve been particularly fond of the Charlotte pumps ever since Alexis Bledel wore them several years ago. Liam was also a winner of the recent “New Gen” award presented by The British Fashion Council.
This collection was influenced by a 1951 classic movie, ‘African Queen’ starring the iconic Katherine Hepburn. The African-inspired designs feature hand printed Java-textiles from Tanzania & Zimbabwe, zebra-print suede, appliqué and mix of materials.
My three favorite designs are the Charlotte pump (pictured on me), Brigitte snakeskin sandal and Lis patent leather sandal.
As far as flats go, the Colette slipper is in this month’s Vogue UK and has the same yellow print adorned with a Congolese mask. There’s also the Becky loafer featuring a giant fur pom pom.
Aquazzura Piña Colada sandal | 4.1″/105mm heel | buy online for $903.00 at Matches and $995 at Moda Operandi
These sandals are nearly sold out at Moda Operandi so I know these cute Spring 2013 heels won’t last long at Matches either. They feature black patent leather, skinny straps, gold pineapple motif with a lattice design and 3D metallic-gold detail at the heel. Half sizes are available.
Coco Rocha is featured in the March 2013 issue of ELLE Ukraine wearing Christian LouboutinPivichic pumps. These shoes are from the Spring 2013 collection featuring black patent leather, 5″ heel and PVC front with black stripes. Pivichic is avaialble online in black and neon pink at Christian Louboutin US.
Rupert Sanderson designed a statement spring collection which has something for everyone. It’s playful and creative but still includes what I call the “staples”, like the new Elba pointed-toe pump. Elba is a red carpet favorite which we’ve seen on Zoe Saldana, Naomi Watts, Michelle Dockery and Emma Stone. Several styles feature an embroidered cockatoo appliqué and there’s even a wedge boot with western stitching.
My top 3 favorite designs: the metallic pink Harting sandal, Latifa lip suede platform sandal and the Zandy cut-out arrow sandal in white leather
Khloe Kardashion was spotted wearing Giuseppe Zanotti embellished ankle-cuff sandals at an LA Clippers game. These heels are from the Spring 2013 collection featuring black ostrich-effect leather, sculpted heel and gold-tone details. They’re available online at Saks Fifth Avenue and Giuseppe Zanotti.
She was watching her husband’s game wearing J Brand stretch leather leggings paired with a textured black blazer. Khloe also accessorized with a long gold cross necklace and pink nails.
Walter Steiger’s Spring 2013 collection is fairytale-inspired and full of unicorns, pixies & amphibians. Steiger plays with his signature bow-shaped heel and we see it covered in studs, designed with a metal finish and covered in crinkle fabric.
Ashley Tisdale recently wore the new Temptress sandals to a red carpet premiere and Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing the “Theo” at Paris Fashion Week.
Jerome C. Rousseau had a fantastic 2012! We saw his shoes on Lea Michele, Nikki Reed and Leighton Meester (to name a few). He’s already off to a wonderful new year as we just saw Julianne Hough wear a custom creation on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
This collection gained a lot of buzz when Kristen Stewart wore the new Popp sandal during the final ‘Twilight Saga’ promo tour. You can read more about the inspiration behind the line in a detailed interview at WWD.
The nude patent Zell, nude/silver Lund sandal and orange lace Juda bootie are my three favorite designs
Although this collection hasn’t hit retailers yet (I will keep you posted) several spring styles are available online for pre-order at Rousseau’s new e-Boutique.
There’s been much ado about Sophia Webster ever since she debuted this Spring/Summer 2013 collection with the cutest presentation last September during London Fashion Week. Her designs are playful, whimsical and feminine with an exciting dash of Lisa Frank.
Since then, several styles have become available online exclusively at Net-A-Porter. Chloë Moretz also donned a pair of polka-dot sandals on the red carpet.
She has an impressive résumé which included working as Nicholas Kirkwood’s design assistant. Kirkwood acted as Webster’s mentor as well, helping her launch this collection.
In a recent interview with Vogue UK Sophia said, “My shoes are for women who want to express their personality through their shoes and will appreciate and enjoy them.”
