I’ve received a lot of emails and comments asking for help on finding certain brands and where to search for designer shoes. The department stores are easy to find and my guide focuses on online boutique-style retailers. I’ve listed a little a information on each store and also my three favorite brands each web site offers.
*Also, check out my post on where to shop the end-of-season shoe sales!*
LuisaViaRoma has an impressive selection and fabulous end of season sales. I suggest looking at their shoes by designer [click Shoes -> View All -> Designer (at the top)] ; it’s easier to view & more organized that way.
Zappos launched a “couture” section that is designer shoe heaven. People forget about checking out Zappos for designer brands and I’ve found been able to find my size available when they’re sold out at other retailers. They also offer free shipping on all domestic orders & free return shipping.
MyTheresa has received several exclusive designs that I couldn’t find anywhere else online. I’ve also been impressed with the shipping. Shoes I ordered from them came from France and arrived to me in Florida within 3 days!
Net-A-Porter is on of my retailers for designer everything. They carry exclusive styles & colors plus offer a huge selection. The downside to this is that some of the coveted styles sell fast.
Amazon is launching a big detailer fashion initiative this year. They used to own Endless and now it’s just consolidated into Amazon. They have fast free shipping and returns. Watch for the sales too, I’ve seen current season shoes on discount before many other sites offer sales.
Bluefly carries discounted shoes, usually 20-30% off the retail price. The only downside to this is that the best styles sell out very quickly (especially Louboutin). I once hesitated on buying these Manolo Blahnik pumps, they sold out and I’llprobably never find them again : (.
YOOX carries end-of-season heels & shoes. This means you can find some of the shoes on discount that you weren’t able to purchase because they were either out of your size or price range. I’ve scored several amazing finds from this web site. They only offer free standard shipping and unfortunately it kind of sucks.
FarFetch compiles heels available from boutiques around the world. Which means you can find certain styles or different colors not available anywhere else. I’ve ordered several shoes from this site and really love their selection.
Boutique1 is a fabulous store based in the Middle East. They carry select designer brands and the only web site I’ve seen to carry Elie Saab heels online. They also recently just added Charlotte Olympia!
The Corner isn’t as well known as sites like Net-A-Porter or Zappos but they carry some of the best shoes and will most likely have your size during their seasonal sales.
Long before ShoeRazzi existed I was studying in Paris and happened to be there during Colette’s end-of-season sale. It was very similar to the scene from Confessions of a Shopaholic & for good reason – they truly carry an amazing selection.
Matches is based out of England. So, I attribute their location the reason why they carry amazing McQueen and Burberry Prorsum pieces.
Ssense doesn’t the largest selection however you can always count on them carrying Lanvin and Givenchy.
Even more sites I recommend checking out: Forward by Elyse Walker, Kirna Zabete, Edon Manor, Natalie Schuterman, Shoebaloo, The Webster, Zoe, Intermix, Boutique1, Montaigne Market, Antonioli, Ekseption, 10 Corso Como, Intermix, Edon Manor, ShoeScribe
