Here are the collections I was most impressed and disappointed with from Spring 2012:
The shoes pictured below are an example of what I’m talking about and thoughts are about the overall collection (not individual designs).

Alejandro Ingelmo
It’s unfortunate because I love Ingelmo’s designs but the spring collection isn’t fresh enough & very similar to previous collections.
Balmain
Did they forget which season they were designing for?! There are so many heavy designs I won’t wear for spring.
Emilio Pucci
I’ve loved the shoes from previous collections but these spring shoes fall flat. She needed another stunning boot or colorful sandal.
Proenza Schouler
I’ve been growing distaste for their shoe collections for a couple seasons now & these designs determined another whole season of separation.

Charlotte Olympia for Victoria Beckham
Cats on a shoe; enough said.
Brian Atwood
Atwood’s moved away from the original Maniac pumps and is using new textures and crazy fun designs.
Burak Uyan
These strong designs have been getting a lot of attention and everyone was asking who made the fabulous heels seen on Cameron Diaz. Uyan’s spring shoes are impressive and even more eye-catching than the previous collections.
Chrissie Morris
The shoes in her Spring 2012 collection are brighter and simply more fun. There’s even a polka heel with red stingray.
Oscar de la Renta
I purchased my first ODLR shoe recently and can’t wait to buy more. You can tell he had a lot fun with this collection.
Stuart Weitzman
Weitzman’s shoe pictured above is the same design as this season’s Olivia but remade in beautiful bright colors. I want to see this heel on the red carpet!
