Here are the new styles and names released from the much anticipated Christian Louboutin Spring 2012 collection:
I will be updating this list as styles are released and as always tell you when they become available online. The PVC pumps are very interesting and I would love to have the Bis Un Bout in black suede. Pay close attention to Louboutin’s US online store – new styles are being released almost daily.
Every season on Manolo’s web site there is a brief write up explaining the inspiration behind the collection. For Blahnik’s Fall 2011 collection some influences came from Tolstoy & Dali, to classic Hollywood beauties and also from architectural designs like the Moorish mosaics. Last season the standout piece was the Anastasia, this season, the Muna zig zag pump, Permin pump & the black and pink Imbratahi striped bootie catch my eye.
The Frontal slingback sandal is available online in dark violet, black & military green suede at Barneys, and dark violet suede at Neiman Marcus.
I recently suggested that Zooey Deschanel should have worn the Nipotta : )
Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2011 shoe collection mixes the older styles in with the new. The signature heart peep-toe pump is re-made in a beautiful pink velvet and also in a suede-to-patent version. The new laces on the platform boots (at the very bottom of the post) are beautiful featuring metal eyelets (as seen on the runway).
I had to blink a couple times when I first saw the price on the first platform wedge featured below. I haven’t seen a shoe (especially online) priced over $4,000 since Valentino’s sculpted lace pump.
My favorite pieces include the t-strap sandal already seen on Sarah Jessica Parker, the curved platform peep-toe wedge and the beautiful pink suede boot.
As always I will continue to update the list as more styles appear online.
Metal platform wedge; available in white at Nordstrom
I wanted to put together a resource where you can find the Spring 2011 styles online all in one place. Christian Louboutin’s spring collections are always more kookier than his fall designs and the 2011 collection might be the kookiest of them all!
Charlotte Olympia’s Spring 2011 Collection predicts a fun and romantic spring. I love the thick wooden heel and platform featured on many of the designs.
Pierre Hardy’s Spring 2011 collection is massive! His collection is one of my favorites for spring 2011. Leighton Meester & Gwyneth Paltrow have already been spotted wearing sandals from this collection.
Looking at Nicholas Kirkwood’s Spring 2011 collection is the best early Christmas present. Kirkwood uses fun textures like glitter and satin & a delicate balance of color – nothing too bright or dull.
Sarah Burton worked with Alexander McQueen for 15 years and the shoes in this collection not only display Sarah’s amazing talent but also her connection with the late designer. This season I’ve noticed many different forms and interpretations of Baroque, from Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte, Prada and now McQueen. The detail in this shoe collection … Read more
This shoe collection is (to me) “very Karl”, probably due to the leather and tweed motorcycle boots. This spring shoe collection featured thick wooden block heels and embellished peep toe booties.
Peter Pilotto – Spring 2011 | London Fashion Week Kirkwood has produced the Peter Pilotto’s show shoes for the past two seasons. This collection includes open toe sandals with a stylised laser cut metal heel, accented with a polished leather outer and platinum mirrored front straps. Nicholas Kirkwood opened a pop up online store for … Read more
Ruthie Davis unveiled her latest design, the Robot at Dennis Basso’s Spring 2011 show at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. This is Ruthie’s third season premiering a spring collection design during the Dennis Basso show.
Proenza Schouler’s fall shoe collection signature is over sized with thick wooden platforms and chunky heels. I like the use of unusual buckles, large buttons, and studs.
I’ve been waiting for Nicholas Kirkwood’s web site to be updated with new fall styles but I’m not sure that’s ever going to happen. I’ve been seeing parts of his fall collection and collaborations dispersed over many different sites so I wanted to compile the designs.
Charlotte Olympia’s fall 2010 collection is dark but features fun gem-like colors, metallics, leopard print and plexiglass. I’m absolutely in love with her collection. In the look book, this quote is featured: “She Walks in Beauty Like the Night”. It’s the title and first line from a poem by Lord Byron.
